1. TextMaestro Introduction

TextMaestro contains three major parts - (a) Work Space, (b) FTP and (c) Text conversion.

(a) Work Space: Contains a set of features using which user can maintain various sessions and files and perform commonly practiced operations on them. Conceptually,

• My Vault has multiple Projects

• A Project has multiple Sessions

• A Session has multiple Baskets

• A Basket has multiple files

It is the files on which you can perform various operations such as delete, create, compare, mark etc.

(b) FTP: Files in a Basket can hold information about different remote hosts so that whenever needed they can be transferred to certain remote system using FTP. User can browse remote systems. while working on certain files.

(c) Text Conversion: A Find and Replace schema built on pattern matching can be performed on input text interactively or on files in batch mode. The former is referred to as Work Pad mode, the latter, Batch mode. Each mode can operate using libraries, a powerful concept of TextMaestro.

Appearance

This is the appearance of TextMaestro after being launched. The three buttons shown in red below correspond to three key features of TextMaestro:

• Session tool bar to work on files

• FTP tool bar

• Text Conversion dialog
